Kristy's Homemade French Onion Dip

This homemade French Onion Dip tastes just like the real thing - minus the junk! It's made with caramelized onions and has zero additives or preservatives.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 onion sliced or diced
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • dash of salt
  • 1 1/4 cups sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Slice the onion.

  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.

  3. Add in the onions and dash of salt.

  4. Sauté for 30 minutes, stirring often.
  5. Put the caramelized onions and remaining ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  6. *If desired, leave some of the onions out while blending and then add them in after for texture.
